Marin General Hospital Invites You to a Free Heart Month Lecture

How to Have a Happy, Healthy Heart

GREENBRAE, CA — Marin General Hospital cardiologist and arrhythmia specialist, Dr. Sujoya Dey, and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Pamela Riggs, RD. MS are the featured speakers at an upcoming free community lecture, “How to Have a Happy, Healthy Heart.”

Dr. Dey and Ms. Riggs will share ways to do just that, including how to lower your stress level, make better lifestyle choices, improve your diet and “take charge” of your heart health.

Pamela Riggs has 25 years of clinical experience in this area in nutrition for health promotion, disease management, weight management, dietary supplements, functional foods, and sports nutrition.

“Even just making small changes in your lifestyle and diet can make a large impact,” she says. “Thinking that you must make big changes to be effective can be stressful and we don’t want to add to that.”

Sujoya Dey, MD, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmia. Her clinical expertise includes the implantation of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators to treat congestive heart failure and prevent sudden cardiac death. In addition, Dr. Dey has a great interest in research and has participated in several clinical trials.

Heart-healthy snacks will be served and there will be time for Q&A after the presentation.
