Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds are offered by the Marin General Hospital Medical Staff and all specialties are welcome to attend. The following times are tentative and may change by month: 

  • Medicine Grand Rounds: 6:30 pm on an as-needed basis.
  • OB/GYN Grand Rounds: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8:00 am 
  • Pediatric Grand Rounds: 2nd and 3rd Friday of each month at 8:00 am 

Unless otherwise noted the program methods for these conferences will be didactic followed by a question and answer period. They will be evaluated using a standard evaluation form. The Marin General HospitalContinuing Medical Education speaker programs are CMA accredited continuing medical education events. Physicians attending these courses may report one hour per session of Category 1 credit toward the California Medical Association certificate in Continuing Medical Education and the American Medical Association's Physician Recognition Award. Please call the Medical Staff Office if you have questions about a specific event. A notice of the topic, objectives and speaker is faxed or emailed to target audiences, and posted in the Medical Staff Lounge at least 1 week prior to the meeting.

Accreditation for Continuing Medical Education (2016 - 2020)

California Medical Association Institute for Medical Quality
The California Medical Association, Institute for Medical Quality has awarded a Four Year CME Accreditation to Marin General Hospital for the period March 1, 2016 thru February 1, 2020. Physicians who attend CME courses offered by IMQ/CMA-accredited providers meet the Medical Board of California’s Division of Licensure requirements for physician licensure and the California Medical Association’s Certification in Continuing Medical Education.

CME Accreditation Standards

Each activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association's CME Accreditation Standards (IMQ/CMA) through Marin General Hospital. Marin General Hospital is accredited by IMQ/CMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Marin General Hospital takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity. Marin General Hospital designates each educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit unless otherwise noted. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.
