The Surgery Center of Marin, located on the second and third floors of Marin General Hospital’s East Wing, is an innovative concept that keeps pace with the changing needs of Marin residents.
Established in August 1994, the center is geared to meet a patient's every need - from the streamlined check-in to the follow-up call to the patient’s home the next day.
With its own admitting area, private waiting rooms, surgery suites and recovery room, it is like a mini hospital within MGH.
Physicians and MGH developed the center to better serve the large number of patients needing non-emergency surgeries and elective procedures. Most patients arrive in the morning and return home by late afternoon.
