| Since 1989, the Institute for Health & Healing, formerly called the
Humanities Program, has provided healing services to patients in the hospital and staff, all free of charge. Patients and
their family members often experience fear, confusion, and grief over their medical condition. Sometimes pain is difficult
to manage. The Institute for Health & Healing services help soothe these difficult emotions and provide additional
pain management tools. Working in partnership with nurses and physicians, patients are given a holistic experience that
