Medical Grand Rounds


First, Seccond and Third Tuesdays, 7:30 a.m. in The Conference Center. There are no Medical grand rounds on the 4th or 5th Tuesday.

Unless otherwise noted the program methods for these conferences will be didactic followed by a queston and answer period. They will be evaluated using the standard evaluation form. The Marin Consortium for Continuing Medical Education is a CMA accredited provider of continuing medical education. Physicans attending these courses may report one hour per session of Catergory 1 credit toward the California Medical Association certificate in Continuing Medical Education and the American Medical Association's Physicaian Recognition Award.

MGH Department of Medicine business meetings are excluded from this provision.

The programs have been reviewed and accepted by the American Academy of Family Phyicians for one Prescribed credit hour each. Prescribed credit is equivalent to the American Medical Association Category 1 credit for purposes of the AMA's Physician Recognition Award.

Pediatric Grand Rounds

CME CREDIT --- This is an activity offered by MGH under the auspices of the Marin Consortium for Continuing Medical Education, a CMA-accredited provider. Physicians attending each course may report up to (1) hour/s of Category 1 credit toward the California Medical Association's Certificate in Continuing Medical Education and the American Medical Association's Physician's Recognition Award(unless more credit is otherwise specified)

Note:
Due to new HIPAA Laws, only MGH Physicians are permitted to attend Pediatric Case Review Rounds, generally on the 3rd Friday of alternating months. Because these Case Review Rounds involve discussion of actual patients. the discussion is limited to MGH medical staff members in clinical practice. All other Physicians and chaperones should check the schedule at the beginning of each month, and plan to not attend Pediatric Case Review Rounds.
