Marin General Hospital's Family Birth Center offers expecting mothers and families many of the comforts of home, including single-patient birthing rooms, decorated in soft pastels and original works of art. Rooms also feature rocking chairs, private baths with showers, television, air conditioning, comfortable chairs and tables, and a warming table for the newborn baby.

Marin General's family-centered approach involves the whole family! Spouses and families are welcome to attend the labor and birth in one of the Family Birth Center's spacious delivery rooms. Normally, an expectant mother will labor, deliver her baby and recover in the same private room Before moving to her private post partum room with lovely views of Mt. Tamalpais. The maternity team includes many highly trained staff members who are available to support and empower families during an extraordinary experience. Team members include registered nurses, anesthesiologists, and pediatricians.

The experienced staff has assisted with more than 60,000 births since the hospital opened in 1952.
