A: The Sutter Health system is one of the largest healthcare systems in Northern California. Marin General Hospital is a Sutter Health affiliate. MGH became an affiliate in 1996.
Each of SH's 27 affiliated hospitals depend on one another and, fitted neatly together, they make up a strong, vibrant organization. Even if one part becomes weak, the others will support it until it regains strength. The strength of the system stems from the affiliates' ability to make their own decisions based on the needs of their communities.
