MarinHealth Partners with UCSF Health in San Rafael Ambulatory Surgery Center Investment
MarinHealth Medical Center (MarinHealth) announced its investment in Marin Specialty Surgery Center (MSSC), a state-of-the-art multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in San Rafael, California, effective March 29, 2024. With this investment, the 14,000-square-foot freestanding facility will operate as a joint venture among co-investors MarinHealth, UCSF Health, and local community surgeons.

MSSC provides services for surgeries and procedures that do not require overnight hospital stays. The advanced multidisciplinary center is fitted with the latest technology. Suites are designed with patient safety and comfort in mind and offer three fully equipped and integrated operating rooms, one procedure room, and a 23-hour stay capability to facilitate orthopedics, pain management, urology, vascular surgery, and plastic surgery procedures.
